1. Purpose of Policy
Emerald League recognises that football carries a risk of injury. While we cannot provide full medical insurance cover, the club has introduced a limited Medical Support Scheme to assist players with the cost of attending a doctor or hospital following a football-related injury.

2. Scope of Cover

• The club will contribute up to €100 towards the cost of a doctor or hospital consultation fee directly related to an injury sustained while playing in a registered Emerald League fixture.

• This support applies only to the initial consultation.

• To receive reimbursement, players must provide an official receipt of payment within 14 days of the appointment.

3. What is Not Covered
The club does not cover any further costs beyond the initial consultation, including (but not limited to):

• X-rays, scans, or diagnostic tests.

• Prescriptions or medication.

• Follow-up visits or physiotherapy.

• Specialist consultations, surgery, or hospital stays.

• Loss of earnings, travel expenses, or any indirect costs.

4. Limitations

• Each registered player may make a maximum of one claim per season under this scheme.

• The maximum reimbursement per incident is €100, regardless of the total cost incurred.

• The club reserves the right to amend or withdraw this scheme at any time.

5. Player Agreement
By registering for the Emerald League, the player acknowledges and agrees that:

• Football is a contact sport and injuries may occur.

• The club provides only the limited Medical Support Scheme outlined above.

• The player is personally responsible for all other medical expenses not covered by this scheme.

• The club, its officers, and organisers accept no liability for injuries sustained, other than the limited support described above.

 Mandatory Acknowledgement
“I confirm that I have read, understood, and accept the Emerald League Medical Support Policy and agree to the terms as outlined. I understand that cover is limited to a maximum of €100 towards a single doctor or hospital consultation fee, and that all other costs remain my personal responsibility.”
